Position Overview:
Fine Elements Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and performance of our company’s database systems. Working closely with our IT team, the Database Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the integrity, security, and availability of our databases, as well as optimizing their performance to meet the needs of our business and clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure their integrity, security, and availability.
  • Perform regular database backups and disaster recovery procedures to minimize data loss and downtime.

  • Monitor database performance and optimize system resources to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution to minimize disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database schema changes and optimizations.
  • Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our database systems and processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems, including SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
  • Experience with database design, implementation, and optimization.
  • Proficiency in database backup and recovery procedures.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in database administration (e.g., Microsoft Certified Database Administrator, Oracle Certified Professional).
  • Experience with cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
  • Familiarity with database security best practices and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
